Since its launch, DeepTech Sciencepreneurs has become a meeting place and a space for transformation for researchers, entrepreneurs and companies that believe in science as an engine of change.

July 17 – The Starting Point

The YAWA Cali Science, Art and Technology Center was the setting for the launch of the #DeepTechReport2024 and the awarding of scholarships for the Sciencepreneurs Business & Built program, a day that brought together 117 actors from the ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, investors, universities, research centers, corporations and public entities.

 

This event marks a new milestone in positioning Cali as a regional leader in scientific and technological innovation.

During the event, strategic networking opportunities were created to foster collaborations between the productive and scientific sectors. The event included the panel discussion “The Challenges of Entrepreneurship in Science,” moderated by Juan Manuel Chaves, manager of Reddi Colombia, with the participation of prominent founders of startups such as:

hese women leaders shared the challenges, opportunities, and lessons learned from leading ventures that originate in laboratories and seek to scale based on scientific evidence.

August 21 – Firepitch and Community Presentation

A group session that connected the participants, introduced the program’s methodology, and allowed them to begin forming teams.

A space for inspiration and networking where participants experienced conferences, panels, and meetings with leaders in innovation.

The Deeptech Alliance brings together a diverse network of key players, including investors, startups, scientists, entrepreneurs, universities, corporations and ecosystem facilitators, with the goal of making a difference in the development of science-based businesses. 

By joining this alliance, Reddi reinforces its commitment to technological innovation and the transfer of research results. The Deeptech Colombia Alliance is dedicated to mapping the ecosystem’s stakeholders, creating a detailed report on the sector’s current state, and centralizing the solutions offered by participating actors. 

This effort will make the opportunities and advances of the Colombian scientific and technological ecosystem more visible and accessible to those seeking to promote progress and competitiveness in the country. 

This alliance is a key step to strengthen Colombia’s capabilities in science, technology and innovation, and to position the country as a leader in the field of science-based business. 

Reddi and the Deeptech Alliance will continue to collaborate to create synergies, attract investment, and foster the development of disruptive solutions that address global challenges.
