Invention patent NC2018/0001604, Colombia (Granted).

A lightweight, low-cost vertical construction system for buildings, particularly homes. The manufacturing process utilizes a series of modules made from recycled materials, such as egg cartons. These modules are assembled by joining them together to form a highly resistant structure. These modules, combined with other sets of module pairs, are then used to encase a metal “cage” structure, providing the final framework for building construction. The final finish includes a mortar layer on both sides.

Construction
Buildings construction (vertical enclosure of walls).
Lightweight system, anti-seismic, maintains thermal comfort conditions, easy modulation, fast construction.
  • Reduced costs compared to traditional construction systems, because it uses recycled materials.
  • It does not require specialized labor for the construction of the modules.
  • Lightweight alternative construction system adaptable to traditional systems.
  • Lightweight and earthquake resistant design.
  • Highly energy-efficient technology, complying with the parameters of sustainable construction in Colombia.
  • Improves thermal and acoustic spatial comfort, due to the contribution of thermal and acoustic insulation between spaces.
  • The use is enhanced when the system is proposed in buildings with bioclimatic parameters.
  • Reduction of the carbon footprint in the manufacturing process.
