It is a single-valve corrective splint for the treatment of congenital clubfoot, consisting of two pieces joined by a pivot on each side of the foot. This pivot is located at the ankle joint, allowing the orthosis to be hinged and enabling free dorsiflexion movement in one direction.
The splint has a system for adjusting the degree of foot deviation with a gear that repositions the foot to the treatment position.
