Get the most out of your patent

Agregamos valor a las invenciones colombianas y las conectamos con el mercado para lograr su comercialización.

What is it?

It is a national initiative that seeks to transform patents into real business opportunities, connecting research with the market.

The program is led by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce, and operated by the National Technology Transfer Network JOINN.

Its purpose is to activate technology transfer in Colombia, strengthening the capabilities of inventors, universities, research centers and companies to take patent-protected developments towards licensing, commercialization or the creation of new lines of business.

Why was the program created?

In Colombia there are multiple technological developments with high potential, but many fail to reach the market due to a lack of:

Commercial structuring

Financial valuation

Business connections

Transfer strategies

Additional technical validation

SJTP 5.0 emerges to close that gap between knowledge generation and its productive adoption.

What makes SJTP 5.0 different?

It’s not just a training program.

It is a comprehensive model that combines:

• Technological maturity diagnosis

• Specialized training

• Strategic support

• Maturation Fund (resources for testing and validation)

• Active management of business connections

The result:

technologies better prepared to negotiate and transfer.
