Fusióni3 networking events foster innovation in Cauca SMEs
The second and third Connection Meetings were successfully held at the Popayán Chamber of Commerce on June 19 and 21, respectively.
These events marked a milestone in the collaboration between research groups from allied higher education institutions and the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) benefiting from the Fusióni3 Cauca project.
The central objective of these meetings was to foster collaboration between SMEs and researchers, ensuring effective interaction to promote innovative projects by identifying areas of shared interest.
To generate connections, 30-minute meetings were organized, in which semi-structured conversations were held around the idea of innovation of the SME, where the research group put forward proposals or solutions according to their specialized knowledge and capabilities, generating an exchange of ideas between the parties.
The event set three clear objectives in order to promote business innovation:
It sought to foster the exchange of knowledge, promoting the transfer of information and experiences between research groups and SMEs, with the aim of boosting innovation in the business field.
Work was done to identify synergies and opportunities for collaboration, with the purpose of finding areas of common interest that would allow the joint implementation of research projects.
Finally, collaboration between companies and research groups was actively promoted, stimulating the creation of innovative projects that met the needs of the beneficiary SMEs.
The Connection Meetings represent the commitment of the higher education institutions allied with the Fusióni3 Cauca project and the beneficiary MSMEs to promote business innovation and strengthen collaboration among diverse actors in the business world. The future looks promising for the development of innovative projects that will drive the growth and competitiveness of MSMEs in the Cauca region.
