Our goal is to provide you with clear and practical information to help you make informed decisions about protecting your ideas and innovations.

- The service is free.
- Virtual service hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Estimated meeting time: 40 minutes.
- The platform used for video calls is Microsoft Teams.
- It is recommended to access the Teams platform via a computer.
Patent orientation
Guidance service on protecting inventions through patents
This service offers:
- How to protect an invention through an invention patent or a utility model patent .
- Requirements for filing a patent application.
- Applicable rates and payment methods.
- The structure of the patent document .
- How to check the status and track your application.
The goal is to provide the user with the information necessary to make informed decisions about protecting their invention.
This guidance service:
- It does not include legal advice, legal interpretations, or recommendations on appropriate responses to requirements issued by the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
- It does not constitute a technical opinion on the feasibility of granting the patent, in the event that the application is filed with the SIC.
- We do not draft patent documents. For this purpose, we
recommend consulting a patent drafting expert or
the Inventor Assistance Program (PAI).
If you book an appointment for patent guidance, no guidance related to trademarks or industrial designs will be provided, and it will not be possible to address these topics in this space.

Specialized brand guidance service
This service offers:
- Timely guidance when filing your trademark application.
- Guidance on requirements and documentation needed to submit the application.
- Clarification of doubts related to the procedure and stages of the process.
The goal is to provide clear and reliable information to facilitate the correct management of your trademark application.
There must be:
- Assisted with orientation on Brands – General Concepts.
- The user was created in the SIPI Virtual Office.
The Nice classification of the products and/or services has been identified and selected.
This guidance service:
- It does not include advice on pending applications.
- It does not include legal advice, legal interpretations, or recommendations on appropriate responses to requirements issued by the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce (SIC).
- It does not constitute a technical opinion on the feasibility of granting the trademark registration, in the event that the application is filed with the SIC.
- No guidance will be provided regarding patents or industrial designs, and it will not be possible to address these issues in this space.
