Invention patent NC2019/0010338, Colombia (Granted).

The “Procedure for Obtaining a Morphological Training Model in Minimally Invasive Pediatric Surgery” addresses both a significant need and opportunity in the field of minimally invasive pediatric surgery, an increasingly common surgical procedure due to its ability to reduce patient trauma and pain, as well as the length of hospital stay. However, performing this type of surgery demands a high level of dexterity and skill from the surgeon, as it involves much smaller incisions with less visibility. Furthermore, training in minimally invasive pediatric surgery is very limited, making learning difficult and costly.

The technology allows for the creation of morphological models of organs and a pediatric duct using rapid and customized manufacturing techniques. Additionally, it is an optimal tool for practicing and learning minimally invasive surgical techniques.
  • Improve training in minimally invasive pediatric surgery.
Allows practice with an anatomical model in a simulated environment.
  • High-fidelity medical training.
  • To create artificial organs with characteristics similar to those of organic tissues.
  • Customization of scenarios for simulated practice.
