Shredder
Patent application filed.

This continuous-feed defibering machine extracts juice, bagasse, and fiber from the raw materials in a single process. These components are extracted by different sections of the machine, allowing for the utilization of all parts. The proposed machine is a high-production, safe machine for its operators, and, in addition to being energy-efficient, can operate using either electricity or internal combustion engines.

Initially, a series of rollers feed the material and squeeze it to extract most of the juice. The material then passes to a set of bars and rollers that, in conjunction with a rotating drum, scrape the fiber, separating it from the biomass. At the end of this stage, the fiber is transferred to a conveyor belt for collection, while the other byproducts are transported to different locations. The entire process is continuous.

Agri-food, Food
The technology, classified as agricultural machinery, primarily extracts fiber and separates juice and bagasse from natural raw materials such as fique, banana pseudostems, and pineapple leaves, among others. This allows for the commercial use of the various components separated during the process. The main byproducts obtained include fiber juice, which can be used in agriculture, while the biomass is primarily used as animal feed.
