Technology and entrepreneurship: engines to connect the innovation ecosystem of Cauca

Cauca is writing a new chapter in its development, driven by talent, creativity, and technology. In this region, a vibrant innovation ecosystem is connecting startups, universities, and established companies with a common goal: to transform the future. In recent years, alliances have emerged between research centers, startups, and established companies, changing how value is generated in the region. Within this context,  technology and entrepreneurship are solidifying their position as key drivers  for  connecting capabilities ,  generating real solutions  , and  strengthening the regional economy

But this transformation doesn’t happen on its own: it requires  strategic collaboration . Today’s challenges demand  joint efforts ,  knowledge sharing  , and the  building of trust . This is where  Fusióni360  comes into play. It’s a digital platform created to  facilitate open innovation , promoting the  transfer of knowledge and technology  from universities to businesses, and generating opportunities for startups to access  high-value scientific and technological resources .

From a startup seeking to scale a biotechnology-based solution to a research group needing to validate its technology in real-world settings,  Fusióni360 connects, coordinates, and empowers . Its mission:  to accelerate the co-creation of projects with economic and social impact . It represents a  concrete opportunity  to  identify strategic partners ,  strengthen ventures  with academic support, and  apply research to the productive sector  with tangible results.

The future of Cauca is built on collaboration . That’s why the invitation is clear:  join Fusióni360 , take advantage of its tools, and become part of a  network that believes in the power of knowledge, technology, and entrepreneurship as drivers of transformation . Visit  fusioni360  and  be part of the change .

Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. It requires collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a shared vision for the future. In Cauca and Valle del Cauca, this principle has come to life through Fusióni360 , a digital platform that connects companies, universities, research centers, startups, and researchers with a clear purpose: to promote open innovation and facilitate co-creation, knowledge transfer, and technology sharing.

To date, 85 organizations have actively joined this network , generating a vibrant ecosystem of connection and learning.

These organizations —ranging from corporations to academic institutions— have found in Fusióni360 a reliable and dynamic space to raise challenges, share capabilities and generate strategic alliances.

The participation of these 85 organizations demonstrates the potential of collaborative work. Thanks to their commitment, 74 real innovation challenges have been formulated , mostly originating from companies and productive sectors with specific transformation needs.

Faced with these challenges, the academic ecosystem’s response has been decisive: 102 solutions have been proposed by partner universities , demonstrating the region’s established capacity in science, technology, and innovation. These solutions reflect not only the technical expertise of the research groups but also their willingness to transfer knowledge and generate impact in the business environment.

This dynamic demonstrates that the Fusióni360 platform not only connects , but also activates collaboration , generates valuable links and creates real opportunities for science and technology to translate into applied solutions, with benefits for both productive sectors and academic institutions.

Along this path, corporations, startups, researchers and research centers find in Fusióni360 a strategic tool to accelerate their innovation processes, validate ideas, scale solutions and contribute to regional development through collaboration.

The results are clear: 85 stakeholders connected, 74 shared challenges, 102 proposed solutions. Fusióni360 is a concrete example of how open innovation can generate real results when the power of connection is harnessed.
