Connection and Technology: Resounding Success at the 1st Fusióni3 Cauca Meeting!
On Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the Bicentennial Building of the University Institution Colegio Mayor del Cauca , the First Connection Meeting of the Fusióni3 Cauca Project was held , which developed positively by bringing together outstanding actors from industry and academia in a day full of opportunities and technological advances.
The objective of the meeting was clear: to create a space for connection between the MSMEs benefiting from the Fusióni3 Cauca project and the
Research groups from the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) allied to the project, where the innovative technologies that the HEIs had developed were presented to the MSMEs, thus generating synergy between both sectors. The event was well-attended, with a total of 191 people present. Among the notable attendees were Dr. Noralba Zapata, Secretary of Economic Development and Competitiveness for the Cauca Governorate, and Omar Leonardo Gonzáles Gutiérrez, from the Fusióni3 Cauca project supervision team of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, who delivered a fascinating lecture on the “University-Business-State-Society Articulation” within the framework of the National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy.
During the meeting, the Coordinator of Innovation in SMEs took the floor, offering a detailed explanation of the selection process for the 30 beneficiary SMEs. Following this, each company was presented in a concise and effective manner, allowing all attendees to gain a clear overview of the participating businesses and their areas of expertise.
